The Compass MAP Model™

All clinical supervision at Healing Vibes Counseling is delivered through the Compass MAP Model™ — a proprietary, competency-based supervision framework developed to give supervisees more than hours. It gives them a map.

Most supervision starts with the supervisor's assumptions about what a supervisee needs. The Compass MAP Model™ starts with you.

Measure

Your supervision begins with a structured self-assessment of your clinical competencies — the skills required for effective, ethical, and culturally responsive practice. This is not an evaluation. It is a reflective process that gives you an honest, strengths-based picture of where you are as a clinician right now.

Align

From your self-assessment, we have a real conversation — not just about where you ranked yourself, but why. Together, we identify your priority growth areas, and I build a fully customized learning plan for you based on your specific gaps, your licensure pathway, and the demands of your actual practice setting. A supervisee in private practice has different priorities than one in a community health setting — your plan reflects that.

Practice

Your learning plan includes specific, tactical development strategies — role plays, clinical exercises, evidence-based models, targeted feedback, and more. Not just a list of CEUs. We track your progress together throughout our work and revisit your self-assessment over time so your growth is visible and documented.

The Compass MAP Model™ is a federally protected proprietary framework. It is the foundation of every supervision relationship at Healing Vibes Counseling.

Individual Supervision

Individual supervision through the Compass MAP Model™ is a dedicated space to pause, reflect, and grow with intention.

We begin with your self-assessment and build a learning plan that is entirely yours — tailored to your clinical gaps, your caseload, and where you want to go as a practitioner. Sessions blend clinical rigor with authenticity, integrating theory, skill-building, and self-awareness in a way that honors both your professional development and your lived experience.

Our work together may include deepening your confidence with trauma-informed practice, navigating ethical and systemic challenges, strengthening your clinical documentation, or building the foundation for a private practice. Whatever your goals, your supervision is structured around them — not a generic checklist.

Sessions are collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in the belief that great clinicians are always learning and evolving.

Group Supervision

Group supervision at Healing Vibes Counseling brings the structure of the Compass MAP Model™ into a dynamic, peer-supported learning environment.

Each supervisee enters the group with their own individualized learning plan, developed from their self-assessment and our initial alignment conversation. Group sessions then create space for shared clinical discussion, peer reflection, and equity-centered dialogue — deepening each member's development while building the kind of collegial relationships that sustain a clinical career.

Group supervision is designed for provisionally licensed clinicians (LMFTA, LMHCA, LSWAIC in Washington; and LMSWs in Texas) who want the accountability of structured supervision alongside the energy and insight of learning in a community.

Members gain support, perspective, and a shared language for clinical growth — all within a respectful, culturally responsive, and growth-oriented environment.

The Guidance Room: Post-Licensure Practice Mentorship

For fully licensed clinicians who are ready to go deeper — beyond the hours, beyond the framework, into the full expression of who you are as a practitioner.

Ideal for fully licensed therapists who want continued support in deepening their clinical voice and building a values-aligned, sustainable practice. These sessions provide a dedicated space for reflective practice, strategic consultation, and ongoing professional development—helping you grow with intention long after your licensure journey is complete.

This offering is designed for clinicians who want to:

  • Refine their clinical decision-making and strengthen their practitioner identity
  • Develop or expand their private practice, offerings, and service lines
  • Integrate lived experience into their work in a grounded, ethical, and authentic way
  • Navigate complex clinical or professional dynamics with confidence
  • Deepen self-awareness, boundaries, and leadership skills
  • Clarify their long-term career direction, business model, or niche
  • Build sustainable systems and workflows that support wellbeing and prevent burnout
  • Strengthen their voice, clinical presence, and overall clarity as a practitioner

This is not clinical supervision and does not meet licensure requirements.Instead, it is a consultative, reflective partnership dedicated to your ongoing evolution.

With 17 years of experience in the field, I provide clinical supervision that is collaborative, supportive, and culturally responsive—offering a space for supervisees to grow in both their clinical practice and professional identity. I draw from a broad background in medical social work, mental health counseling, and care coordination to help supervisees build confidence and competence across diverse practice settings.

In addition to clinical guidance, I bring a strong foundation in business and leadership. My expertise spans program design, population health, vendor and budget management, and healthcare innovation—equipping me to support supervisees not only in client care but also in navigating complex healthcare systems, launching private practices, and stepping into leadership roles.

I currently serve as adjunct faculty at the University of Washington School of Social Work, where I have been teaching since 2024. I also hold the position of Board Vice President at the Center for Chronic Illness, where I help advance mission-driven work that promotes psychosocial support for individuals living with ongoing health conditions.

These experiences inform my commitment to integrating evidence-based practice, social justice, and reflective supervision in our work together.

Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in scheduling an initial conversation. I’d be happy to explore whether we’d be a good match for your clinical supervision needs.
